EMM Training Courses

Equus Muscle Management provides real hands on training for those interested in learning how to apply natural Muscle Release Therapy for animals.

We don't expect nor do we require prior academic qualifications as a pre requisite to participate in our training courses. Sometimes an excessive reliance on theoretical knowledge and preconceptions can inhibit ones ability to learn and apply these skills. All we require is a love of animals and a willingness to learn and apply your natural abilities.

INTRODUCTORY COURSE

  • Suitable for all horse owners/riders or introduction to the work for therapists.
  • Everything people need to know for emergency muscle first aid
  • How to relax horses after competition or hard work
  • Basic safety horse handling skills

ADVANCED COURSES

Details:

LEVEL 2

  • Further corrections to build on the basics
  • Assessment Skills
  • Notes to remind you what you have learnt
  • Time 2 days (Includes revision of prior work)
  • Cost $350.00
Please note: You must have completed the Introductory Course and a revision day before you attend this course.
LEVEL 3
  • A ‘stand alone’ therapy
  • A tool for the toolbox (Adjunct to other therapies)
  • A closer look at Assessment Skills
  • Notes to remind you what you have learnt
  • Time 2 days (Includes revision of prior work)
  • Cost $350.00

PRACTITIONER DAYS/Level 4

  • Covers new work
  • All important revision of prior work.
  • Advanced and outside speakers
  • Time 1 day
  • Cost $350.00
Please note: To attend practitioner days you must have completed a Level 3 Course.

Revision Days

  • We can never emphasise enough the importance of revision to fine tune you technique and to pick up valuable information and changes the technique itself may have undergone.
  • Time: 1 Day
  • Cost: $100.00

Barefoot Hoof Trimming

Peter Laidely from Hoofworks has joined with us to present one day hoof trimming courses that will give you a unique insight into the care and function of the hoof, compliment your skills as a muscle worker and add a new dimension to your therapy.
